What a wonderful little treasure. A handy-sized book for kids (or kids at heart, like me) to take on the family holiday or keep in the book collection. The Guide subtly promotes conservation and education in an enjoyable read. The photographs are gorgeous and adorn every page, with well-written species description and additional information.

I loaned my copy to my 13-year old nephew. He was suitably impressed, not only by the information but by the use of the words ‘poo’ and ‘fart’. He read the ‘What’s So Great About Roo Farts?’ section out loud, taught his whole family something they never knew, and kept reading.

The book is easy to read and comprehend, alternating between habitat information, facts and detailed descriptions in just the right balance. Of course now I want to see every kangaroo and wallaby species, and there is a map in the front of the book to help with my plan. Aaah, the travel list gets longer. Thank you!
