Lee's first book, The Green Guide to Kangaroos and Wallabies of Australia, was published in January 2006 by New Holland Publishers, Australia. This is the tenth book in the award winning Green Guide series. The majority of the photographs featured in the book were taken by Lee and her husband, Garrie Douglas.

Lee's new Australian wildlife book is called Wallabies, Wombats and Other Mammals of Australia. The book was released by New Holland Publishing in March 2007.

Lee is working on a new publication for CSIRO Publishing called  A Practical Guide to Australia's Threatened Species.

As Northern Correspondent for Wildlife Australia Magazine, Lee's articles cover a wide variety of topics including the politics and practice of wildlife rehabilitation and release, environmental issues and Australia's unique fauna.

The latest Grzimek's Mammal Encyclopedia features a chapter entitled Order Insectivora, written by Lee.

Lee has just finished editing a book about Platypus for CSIRO Publishing.
